Airwaves Ducati's runaway British Superbikes series leader Shane Byrne says he is pretty much back to full fitness after his race two horror crash at Knockhill.
Zurich-based Byrne lost the front on a damp track going into the first turn and flew into the airfencing. His crash handed HM Plant Honda's Leon Haslam his first win of the season but Haslam was catching the Ducati man hand over first anyway.
“At this moment in time I would say that I have recovered 95% from my fall at Knockhill, but I will be back to full fitness in time for first practice on Saturday," said Byrne.
"I really love the Cadwell Park circuit and, as always, my sole intention for going as quickly as I possibly can around there will be to get back to The Mountain - I can’t go over it enough! I know that I gave the Airwaves Ducati team a lot of work to do after Knockhill so I want to repay them here this weekend with some results to really celebrate about.”
