Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier continues to marmalise the British Superbike field at Cadwell Park, lapping more than a second quicker than Hydrex Honda's Stuart Easton in this morning's final free practice.
Camier's 1'27.382 is a tenth of a second quicker than Tom Sykes' pole position time from last year and it seems there is nothing any of the other teams can do about the Kent youngster's pace.
Easton lapped in 1'28.548 which bumped Relentless Suzuki's Ian Lowry to third, and the young Irishman was busted down to fourth with six minutes to go by Easton's team-mate Karl Harris.
Lowry had made the early running and was on top of the timesheet with a 1'28.617 after only ten minutes of the session. It took Camier a further 20 minutes to go fastest with a 1'27.666 and he then set the quickest time of the session two minutes later.
Easton went second with 15 minutes to go and then Harris went out for his final run of laps to take third place on a theoretical front row as the riders head into qualifying this afternoon.
Confused.com Kawasaki's Julien Da Costa was fifth fastest, some 1.5s off Camier's pace and Graeme Gowland, on the Motorpoint Yamaha, ended up in sixth after being in third with 20 minutes left. HM Plant Honda's Karl Muggeridge is seventh and John Laverty, on the Buildbase Kawasaki, is and the tail of row two.
After sitting in third early in the session, Worx Suzuki's Sylvain Guintooli is ninth, 1.7s in arrears, while Da Costa's team-mate Simon Andrews is tenth, losing some of his form from yesterday.
Quay Garage Honda's Gary Mason leads the Superbike Cup field in 13th place with Peter Hickman two place behind. NB Suzuki's Tommy Bridewell did not get out due to technical problem yesterday.
