Tarran Mackenzie’s recent return to form has seen the McAMS Yamaha champion celebrate six successive Bennetts British Superbike podiums.
As round seven heads to Cadwell Park, Mackenzie sits seventh in the standings and currently in possession of a provisional Showdown place after three victories from the last two venues. An impressive comeback after breaking both ankles in separate incidents at the start of the season.
Cadwell has been one of the 26-year-old's more challenging tracks in recent years, but he’s hoping to maintain the summer’s momentum at the mountain’s circuit.
"After Thruxton, I'm really looking forward to Cadwell this weekend,” Mackenzie confirmed ahead of the Lincolnshire round. “I feel like I'm riding as good as I ever have at the minute.
"The McAMS Yamaha R1 is feeling great at every track we go to so even though Cadwell has its own unique challenges, I think I'm in a good place with myself and the bike.
“A good, solid weekend is the priority - Thruxton really strengthened our position in the Showdown so to add to that would be good and if we can get any podium points for the championship fight then that would be great!"
