CAMIER: THERE'S A LOT MORE IN THAT BIKE

Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier reckons there is a lot more to come out of his British Superbike YZF-R1 even though he stormed through the field at Brands to claim the first race two victory of his career.

The lanky youngster, who has been victorious in three races before but only ever in the first leg, marked out the exit of Clearways as the place to pass this weekend as his bike didn't have the horsepower to overtake anywhere else. Camier even lifted up his own team-mate James Ellsion in the turn, which made team boss Colin Wright wince.

"My R1 is mega and there is so much more to come out of it, " said Camier, talking to bikesportnews.com this morning. "It's down on power at the moment but it turns so well, it's awesome.

"Once we have got all the parts and we have been testing, I think there is an awful lot more speed in it. I reckon it's only about halfway there at the moment.”
