Quattro Plant Kawasaki’s Luke Mossey ended the final day of the Pro-Test early, after feeling satisfied with what his team had achieved with his ZX-10R at the Cartagena track, and has labelled the testing experience as ‘brilliant’.
Mossey only experienced the 2016-spec ZX10R on Monday and quickly felt ‘great’ onboard the Kawasaki, so much so the MCE British Superbike racer felt that he did not need go out in the afternoon sessions today, and only took part in the morning outings.
The Englishman has been putting down some solid lap times, and yesterday lapped at 1’33.1, putting him top of the unofficial timesheets. It has been a busy few days for Mossey and his crew, who had already completed a test at Almeria, before attending the four-day sessions at Cartagena.
His team, in particular have been making sure the 23-year-old had a base setting he was comfortable with, and Mossey is more than content with his machine and is feeling good going into the opening BSB round next month.
“We have had a really good week. We started the week at Almeria on Monday which was our first test on the new 2016 bike and it felt great,” Mossey told bikesportnews.com.
“We did a lot of laps to get used to the fly-by-wire too. Then we moved to Cartagena for the Pro-Test and we have just had a brilliant week testing. We changed a lot of things to see which would suit me best and I think we have found a good setting to go back to the UK - ready for round one.”
