Christian Iddon will not line up on the grid at the British Superbike (BSB) finale at Brands Hatch.

After a crash in Race Three at Donington Park Christian Iddon has been declared unfit for the British Superbike finale.

The Oxford Products Racing Ducati rider will have to undergo a 'pretty comprehensive foot reconstruction' as a result of the crash.

Iddon returned to the title fight in 2024 as he had a race win and seven further podiums to his name. As it stands the #21 is sixth in the BSB Championship standings, a position he could keep despite not participating in the final round.

Iddon took to his Instagram account to share the news to his fans that he would not be able to race at Brands Hatch:

"And just like that my 2024 season is over. The accident at Donington caused far more substantial damage than was feared and I now require a pretty comprehensive foot reconstruction which should be completed today (4th of October).

"I was sure I would be back racing at the final round because I always manage it somehow but unfortunately it just isn't possible given the nature of this injury.

"It's difficult to comprehend the situation and I'm sorry to the team, my sponsors and all my supporters

"Just a few rounds ago I felt we were a genuine and credible title threat. Since then we've had a rough run and I was like desperate to end the year on a high but to end like this really hurts.

"I'll still attend Brands to support Ben and the team and to see all the incredible BSB fans."

As of now, Iddon has not announced his plans for the 2025 British Superbike season.
