BSB charity the CJ Riders' Fund has helped to buy some vital crash protection for the upcoming British Superbike season in the form of FIM homologated soft barriers.
Since 2005, BSB has rented up to 300 metres of the Recticel protection system but simply hiring it became economically unviable, so race director Stuart Higgs engaged the CJRF to come up with a solution.
"Thanks to the CJRF we have been able to secure without any doubts the future supply of soft barrier protection and look at prevention elements to complement the X-ray and other invaluable medical support services already made possible by the work of Pam Jones and the Fund," said Higgs.
