Banks Racing/Express Racewear’s Brian Clark may have to miss the seventh round of the Relentless British 125GP Championship at Mallory Park due to promised funding not coming through.
Clark who missed the first two rounds of the Championship due to sustaining a broken arm returned to the championship to take third in his first race of the season followed by two fifth place finishes and a race win which has already shot him to fifth in the Championship standings.
At Knockhill following a difficult qualifying in the race he finished in the top five after starting way down the order in 15th showing his determination and ability to take on the battles ahead. Clark’s talent had had recognition from the Eurosport commentators as the championship is aired on national television and no matter where he may start he always ends back up at the sharp end, back in the public eye.
Clark hoped to continue his success at the Leicestershire circuit in a week’s time but at the moment this is in serious doubt. Clark had a costly crash at the opening round of Brands Hatch and another at Snetterton which has taken away a considerable amount of season funding.
In addition Clark has been left stranded due to expected financial support also not arriving and even though later in the season more is guaranteed this does not help the Wimblebury rider in his current situation which is likely to force him to miss out on racing at his local circuit.
