Scot Kev Coghlan has split with the Appleyard Yamaha British Supersport squad and will now concentrate on his Ducati ride in the European Superstock 1000 series.
The former Spanish Supersport Champion hasn't had the best of times on his return to the UK, scoring only one top-five result which came at Oulton Park two weekends ago, so he has amicably parted company with the Yorkshire team.
“Kev had a good ride at Oulton Park but was clearly not enjoying himself on the bike. After a conversation mid-week we both decided it would be best for Kev to concentrate on his opportunity in the European Superstock 1000 Championship. He is a talented rider but unfortunately the Supersport bike and Kev never clicked. We wish him luck," said team boss Robin Appleyard.
