Dan Cooper has switched from Triumph to Suzuki power and will campaign a Hampshire Motorcycles GSX-R600 in this year's British Supersport Championship and at the Northwest 200.
Cooper finished fifth in the series in 2010 but suffered a serious injury last season meaning he missed a lot of rounds but managed to stay inside the top ten. He will also campaign a Fireblade for Centurion at the Isle of Man TT this year.
“I am pleased to be joining a team where the whole effort is being put into myself for 2012. I would like to thank smiths for the past years of support and wish them well in the future," said Cooper.
"For me the team is set up to give me every opportunity to challenge at the front. The team knows what it takes to run a good bike and I am sure we can repay our sponsors with podiums this year. I will still be doing the TT with Centurion racing however we have agreed a deal to do the Northwest 200 on board the Suzuki."
