HM Plant Honda are to stay in British Superbikes for the 2009 season, ending months of speculation the team would move to World Superbikes or disband altogether.

However, neither Leon Haslam or Cal Crutchlow are confirmed as staying with the team as both are actively seeking employment on the world scene. The only rider they have is John McGuinness, who is halfway through a two-year deal to ride at the TT.
