Rizla Suzuki's Tom Sykes walked away with two podium finishes from Croft British Superbikes today but has vowed to keep fighting while there is a chance for the championship.
Sykes is now in third after ending both races behind HM Plant Honda's Leon Haslam but it's very tight for second with only four points splitting the youngsters.
“It’s tight in the race for second in the Championship and now I’m four points behind Haslam," said Sykes. "I’ll be looking to get those points back with interest at the next round and as long as there is a mathematical chance of winning the Championship I am not going to give up, it’s still all to play for.
"In the opening race I was struggling for grip and feel so [chief mechanic] PJ made some major changes to the chassis geometry for the second race that really worked. I only wish I could have rewarded the boys with a win."
