Bennetts Suzuki’s Tommy Bridewell aims to bounce back from his massive Oulton Park MCE British Superbike crash and finish the season in style by pulling off a race win between now and the final Brands Hatch round.
Bridewell had just about been in Showdown contention at the Cheshire track but the spill at Brittens put paid to any top-six aspirations, so now the Devises rider is aiming at bagging a race win on the elderly GSX-R1000.
"We can just go out there and enjoy racing our motorbike now. It would have been nice to have been in the Show down, of course, but now the pressure's off we can relax a little bit more. Before the season's out my goal is to put the Bennetts Suzuki on the top step of the podium,” he said.
“The team has worked so hard, we've got the speed, and we've come close, and by trying to do that in every race hopefully we can spoil things for some of the others at the front."
