Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier has blitzed this rest of the field in this morning's opening British Superbike free practice session, lapping almost three-quarters of a second faster than next placed man Stuart Easton.
Camier was the only rider to dip inside the 1'32s barrier, setting a 1'32.965s lap with 20 minutes of the session left and then cemented his position at the top of the timesheets with a 1'32.468 late on the session.
Easton managed a 1'33.188 set on his penultimate lap after Hydrex Honda team-mate Karl Harris led the way at the start of the 50-minute session with a 1'33.469, which he couldn't better.
Worx Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli set third fastest time, some 0.857 shy of Camier's quickest with HM Plant Honda's Glen Richards rounding out a provisional front row on a 1'33.385.
Jentin Yamaha's Jon Kirkham left it until his last lap to go fifth quickest, just over a second off the pace with Chris Walker starting well in sixth. The Motorpoint Yamaha man demoted MSS Kawasaki's Simon Andrews into eighth.
