Qualifying three
Leon Camier 1'31.047
Sylvain Guintoli 1'31.111
James Ellison 1'31.442
Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier has snatched his second British Superbike pole position of the season at Donington Park this afternoon, pipping Sylvain Guintoli by less than a tenth of a second.
The Frenchman left pitlane on scrubbed tyres for the final session and left it until the last minute to pit, change to new Pirellis and squeeze Camier for the pole.
MSS Kawasaki's Simon Andrews was sitting pretty in third place with a 1'31.585s lap until James Ellison just beat him pushed him to the outside of the front row with his last lap. It is Andrews' first-ever BSB front row and he goes one better than his performance at Oulton.
Motorpoint Yamaha's Chris Walker heads the second row alongside HM Plant Honda's Glen Richards. Hydrex Honda's Karl Harris crashed at the Old Hairpin and will start on the second row, just ahead of team-mate Stuart Easton. Julien Da Costa and Ian Lowry round out the top ten.
Qualifying two
James Ellison 1'31.544
Leon Camier 1'31.639
Julien Da Costa 1'31.758
Graeme Gowland's big crash at Schwantz Curve brought out the red flags in qualifying two and as the riders came out for their first laps after the re-start, none of them made it round for a second flying lap, missing the chequered flag by a matter of seconds.
Ellison set the quickest lap of the session with six laps remaining on a 1'31.544,which was fractionally quicker than team-mate Camier. HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes couldn't put in a quick enough lap to go through, so finds himself on the fourth row of the grid.
