Young gun Jake Dixon has his eyes firmly fixed on winning the 2018 Bennetts British Superbike title before an inevitable move on to the world stage next season.
The RAF Reserves Kawasaki rider bagged two wins and two seconds last year, and with a year of data and experience under their collective belts, the team should be on course to build on those successes.
“I start the season as I ended last year; wanting to win races and I really want to fight for the championship. I think we definitely start this season in a better position than we did last year; we were two seconds faster in Spain when we were testing than we did in 2017; we know it’s only testing but that was a good feeling," said Dixon.
“Lee Hardy and the team have put a lot of hard work in over the winter and I am feeling happy and really excited for the start of the season. We had a bad start to last year and we still made the Showdown so we need to have a better weekend at Donington Park and we obviously want to be back on the podium. You can lose the title at round one but you can’t win it on Monday, but I would be lying if I didn’t say I don’t go to every round with the motivation to win.”
