DONINGTON BSB: GUINTOLI LEADS INTO QUALIFYING

Worx Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli has set the quickest time in the final British Superbike free practice session this morning at Donington Park, bringing to an end Leon Camier's domination from yesterday.

The former MotoGP star put in a laptime of 1'31.670, which was a third of a second quicker than Camier's time yesterday, and managed to keep the Kent youngster behind him with Camier putting in a 1'31.716.

MSS Kawasaki's Simon Andrews was demoted to a provisional fourth place on the grid when HM Plant Honda's Glen Richards lapped at 1'31.903 with 15 minutes to go.

James Ellison is at the head of the second row, just half a second slower than his team-mate with Josh Brookes, who survived a last-lap crash at Coppice to take sixth fastest.

Hydrex Honda's problems have continued over from yesterday with Stuart Easton only managing seventh place just in front of Motorpoint Yamaha's Chris Walker in eighth. Karl Harris, who made some gearing changes yesterday, could only muster ninth, in front of Ian Lowry and Superbike Cup leader Gary Mason.
