Donington BSB: Iddon eager to regain form after disappointing Thruxton

Christian Iddon is looking to lay the demons of a disappointing Bennetts British Superbike meet at Thruxton to bed as he heads to Donington Park with the VisionTrack Ducati squad.

After finishing a strong second on Saturday, the Stockport rider suffered a DNF in race two - after being taken out at the complex by Lee Jackson - resulting in a fourth row start, with ninth place the eventual reward from the final action.

“We’re off to Donington Park and it’s a track I always enjoy and is where I made my debut for the VisionTrack Ducati team last year,” Iddon said ahead of round five.

“I’m really looking to this meeting in particular as I need to get the ball rolling again after a difficult day on Sunday at Thruxton,” he admitted.

“I want to regain the form and the momentum we have already shown and maintain it for the rest of the season.

“I’m convinced we have a better setting than when we raced there last year so can’t wait to get going,” he concluded.
