Christian Iddon will begin his third consecutive season with the Tyco BMW team and is confident of a strong start after a last minute electronics change saw him rocket to the top of the Cartagena test times.
Iddon and his crew made an adjustment to the S1000RR's engine braking settings and it instantly gave more grip, so the former Supermoto king believes his is good shape ahead of tomorrow's opening round at Donington Park.
“I can’t wait to get the season started; pre-season testing went well but the weather played its part and when it comes to testing, you always want more! We made some good steps forward with the electronics and evaluated some new parts which all seemed positive.
“At the official test we didn’t get through as much as we would have liked because of the weather and a minor technical issue in the afternoon. Donington has always been one of my favourite to ride; I don’t worry about the first races of the season, because I approach every race the same and that is by doing the best job I can.
“I am feeling really positive; it is my third consecutive season with the team and we had a podium there last year, so hopefully it all comes together at the weekend and we can get an even better result.”
