Donington BSB: Kiyo secures Showdown spot but unhappy with race pace

Samsung Honda’s Ryuichi Kiyonari has secured his spot in the MCE British Superbike Showdown after finishing in the points in both races at Donington Park today.

The triple champ is still unhappy with his lack of speed but is confident that he can turn all his poor results around and come away with winning his fourth British Superbike championship.

“I am very happy to have a place in the Showdown but this weekend was very difficult and I am not happy, but I hope the final three rounds go better than today and I hope I can win," said Kiyo, speaking at the circuit.

“I need to be more fast, but I am too slow this weekend but I know why, because I am too slow. But in the final three rounds I will push 100 percent and I hope I don’t crash and hope to get a podium or a win, and hopefully I can win the championship.”
