Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier reckons he will be a force to be reckoned with in tomorrow's British Superbike double-header at Donington Park, saying the the new power of his TZF-R1 will give him consistent race pace.
The Kent youngster took his second pole position of the season here today, just edging out Worx Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli who finished less than a tenth of a second behind
"The new Yamaha engine is working really well, giving us more power and speed. It's changed the bike a lot and we've improved in every session," said Camier.
"From the times we'd been doing over the weekend, I felt confident we could qualify well but I just needed to make sure I put a good lap together. Our race pace is encouraging so I think I've got a good chance of a scoring a couple of podiums for Airwaves Yamaha tomorrow."
