Hawk Kawasaki's Scott Smart is heading for this weekend's Donington British Superbike round with a bit more confidence in his ZX-10R.
Until now, the Kent rider has been suffering from a lack of feel in the front end of his bike but some changes to the geometry and some damping alterations means he should be back on the pace at the Leicestershire track - where he won for Vivaldi Kawasaki in 2006.
He said: "We have built more slow speed control built into the shims. The shock was set for much softer spring which didn't suit me or the tyres. Big springs mean that we needed more rebound damping to control the boing back!
"We've also made the bike steer better to suit my style and we've also softened the power delivery a bit at the bottom end so it affects the chassis less when I'm hard on the power."
