World supersport ace Craig Jones has been forced to withdraw from the rest of this weekend's action at Donington Park as his ongoing wrist injury is causing him too much discomfort and it's though the team do not want to aggravate it any further before the next round in Germany.
Jones was missing from this morning's first qualifying session which saw his WSS colleagues Andrew Pitt and Jonathan Rea take the two top spots.Jones said: "I can't hold on, the first session was ok, but after that it was really painful. I went out in the afternoon, but only did three laps. I was trying to hold on and couldn't. I am pressing on it, moving it and it's killing me, the pain was unbearable. Obviously we are not racing for the championship, so it would be silly. I had to put my sensible head on. I wanted to ride, I love Donington and it has been three years since I raced in British supersport. I wanted to battle with some old sparring partners and put on a show for the public, but as soon as I put my glove on it hurts."
