Dunlop has agreed a deal to provide the Harley-Davidson British Superbike Championship support class with tyres for the 2009 season.
The XR1200 Trophy, which has already secured a £50,000 overall prize fund and attracted big names like James Whitham and Niall Mackenzie, will benefit from a full race service at each round, and each entrant will get a free set of D209s at the first and last rounds.
"This is an exciting new venture for us. We have a strong heritage with Harley-Davidson through Goodyear's flat-tracking history with the Motor Company, so this is an excellent way to rejuvenate the relationship with what promises to be an exciting one-make championship," said Dunlop's UK Motorsport Manager Phil Plater.
"It also holds significance for our race to road programme, which enables us to use motorsport technology to develop exceptional road-going products."
Tyres will be sold direct to competitors at a specially agreed race price. With a recommendation of one front and two rear tyres for the duration of each round to cover the practice, qualifying, warm-up and race, each competitor will pay a maximum of £2,397 for the series duration.
However, there are also a variety of opportunities to win the race tyres with prizes in place for the top four positions in the race and a special Man of the Meeting award. The accolade will be based on personal achievement and will be allocated to the rider judged to have shown the greatest improvement.
