Hydrex Honda's Stuart Easton says he must perform at the highest level in this year's British Superbike Championship because he now has all the things he needs to win.

For the past couple of years, the former British Supersport Champion has been on well-run but underfunded machinery. Come Brands Hatch in April of the year, the Scotsman says he has no excuses.

Speaking exclusively to bikesportnews.com today, Easton said: "We will do everything we can this year. We have got all the right tools to do the job and we couldn't ask for any more.

"All the parts of the jigsaw are there and we just need to put them together. We can do a good job this year. We be crazy not to try and win every time we go out.

"We will see how things go in testing. I am looking forward to doing loads of miles in Spain and getting to know the bike properly on a short circuit.

"Karl is going to be the toughest team-mate I have ever had and he is going to be fast out of the box, I am sure of that. We've got everything we need, and there's no excuses now."
