KTM UK is now taking entries for the Focused Events RC8 Super Cup which is to be run as a support class for the 2009 British Superbike Championship.
The past two years have seen KTM present in the BSB paddock with the Super Duke Battle. Following the launch of the RC8 and the company's long-standing racing heritage, the evolution into Superbike racing was the next logical step.
The series offers incredible value for money and for only £10,995 (plus race entries and control tyres) you get:
• 1190 RC8, yours to keep after the series has finished
• Full fibreglass factory bodywork
• Akrapovic exhaust system
• Ultra-light Marchesini spare wheel set, including discs
• GB Racing engine protection.
No further modifications will be permitted to the bike and riders will need a Clubman licence or above to participate. Prize money will be paid down to fifth place and there will be an Under 25 Championship within the main series.
KTM UK is also pleased to announce a partnership with Dunlop Motorsport to supply tyres for the series. The series control tyre will be the Dunlop 209 GP Racer.
KTM UK Managing Director, Shaun Sisterson, said: "We are delighted to be racing alongside BSB once again and we can’t wait to see a grid full of RC8’s flying around some of the most prestigious circuits in the UK. I would like to thank Focused Events for their continued support for KTM racing in the UK and I would like to welcome Dunlop as a partner for 2009."
