South African Bjorn Estment will return to the Bennetts British Superbike Championship grid in 2021 after signing a new deal with the Powerslide Motorcycles with Catfoss Suzuki team after their appearance in the final races of the season at Brands Hatch.
Next year will mark their first full campaign in the championship and the popular Stoke-on-trent based dealership are excited to build on their debut appearance at the season finale this year. After being involved in the paddock for many years, and with relationships with OMG Racing and Hawk Racing as well as the expanding of the business in opening a new Derby dealership, they are now ready to embark on their first full season in the Superbike class.
Team Owner Brad Clarke will also compete at selected rounds of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship during the 2021 season.
Estment said: “I’m very excited about this opportunity with the Powerslide Motorcycles with Catfoss team heading in the 2021 season. It’s so nice to have things sorted early and be able to head home and begin the preparations and focus on making the 2021 season special.
“Brad, Dale and all the guys and girls involved in this project are full of so much enthusiasm and are ready to provide us with exactly what is needed to compete and race in the Bennetts BSB Championship. I believe in the package I have and am determined to get on the scoreboard and get stuck in amongst the guys.
“Also with a little luck we will see the return of the fans trackside which will only increase the motivation and enjoyment of racing in this prestigious championship. Massive shout out to Catfoss, OMG and Hawk for their crucial support as well as all my personal sponsors.”
