Former British Superbike man Tom Grant is set to replace Dennis Hobbs in the Centurion Honda British Supersport team after the Northerner signed for AIM Yamaha late last week.
Grant had a nightmare season with the SMT Honda squad in 2008 which culminated in a massive crash at Knockhill leaving his arm looking like the display in a kebab shop.
Maxxis Honda's David Johnson lost control of his Fireblade in slippery conditions and, after just missing Simon Andrews, the bike was in collision with Grant who ended up in hospital with a crushed forearm.
Centurion haven't, as yet, officially announce Grant's signing but it expected to be confirmed in the next few days.
