Crescent Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli has, according to his team, ended a three-day test at the Spanish Guadix circuit by setting the fastest lap time out of all the British Superbike riders present.
The French former MotoGP rider posted a best time of 1'13.0 on the new GSX-R100 during a race simulation using the brand new Pirelli SC1 tyre which the entire field will be using this year.
"What a great way to end the Spanish testing. The only thing that really stopped us going faster was the track temperature and in reality we didn't have to make any huge changes over our Almeria set-up either," said Guintoli.
"The quickest lap time is great, but I'm more encouraged by the consistent times we set in the race simulation tests. I'm more eager than ever to get my championship campaign started now."
