Newly-crowned National Superstock 600 Champion Jamie Hamilton will move up to the British Supersport Championship at Oulton Park to partner Ben Wilson in the Gearlink Kawasaki team.

Hamilton took the title at Silverstone after Luke Mossey was disqualified from his race win for running illegal cam sprockets, which have Hamilton enough points to lift the trophy.

"We more or less decided that if Jamie could wrap up the Metzeler National 600 Championship before Oulton Park then we would let him ride in Supersport class for the final round," said team boss Michael De Bidaph
 
"We see no point in Jamie continuing in the Superstock 600 series and the Supersport ride will be an added bonus for him in view of his outstanding performance this season.  There will be no pressure on Jamie at Oulton Park but knowing him he will still be showing the raw talent that he possesses."
