Karl Harris, who was involved in an horrendous high-speed crash at Thruxton which saw him headbutted by an errant Rizla Suzuki at 140mph, is fully recovered and raring to go at Oulton Park British Superbikes this weekend.
Harris escaped the incident, which was caused when Tom Sykes’ bike caught the back of Leon Haslam’s Honda, with a broken nose and damage to three metatarsals in his foot.
The Rob Mac Racing rider said: “"I’m feeling spot on and can’t wait to get to Oulton Park this weekend. It’s a great circuit that I really enjoy racing at, historically I’ve gone well there. I just want to put the disappointment of Brands and Thruxton behind us and start to rack up some points, we have definitely worked hard enough for them and want to turn our luck around."
Team Manager Rob McElnea said: “The huge accident involving a cartwheeling Rizla Suzuki was frightening and probably was the only bit of good luck Karl has had as he got away fairly unscathed. We are desperate to get our year going and to see Karl get some rewards for his blistering pace.”
