Scottish youngster Tim Hastings will be back in Metzeler National Superstock 600 action at Donington Park after putting together his own squad, backed by electronic cigarette brand E-Lites.
Having amassed 26 podiums and 2 Academy Cup titles during his GP125 career, Tim switched to the Superstock 600 series in 2010, enduring a difficult 2011 season before making has breakthrough in the class earlier this year with a dominant race victory at Thruxton.
Finding himself without a ride in the middle of the season, the team has taken time out to build an entirely new squad, bringing on board new sponsors and providing Hastings with a genuinely competitive ride for the Donington Park, Silverstone and Brands Hatch rounds.
“I am excited at the prospect at getting back racing and have spent the last few weeks working hard on my fitness. I can't wait to work with Ian and John again, both of whom I've known for a while. The plan is to reward Adrian Everett and the guys at E-Lites electronic cigarettes and Harry at HWP Consultants Ltd with some great results, as well as everyone else who has stuck by me and continued to support me. Roll on Donington," said Hastings.
HWP Consultants Ltd, Rock Oil, NGK, Evadne, MSTM racing and Norman Brunton Race Paints have also all mucked in to help Hastings.
