Hill confirms interest in switch to MotoGP CRT class

Reigning MCE British Superbike Champion Tommy Hll has confirmed he is considering a move to the MotoGP CRT sub-class in 2013 but stressed there is a lot of thinking to be done before he makes the decision.

The Surrey carp-botherer would, ideally, like to move into the World Superbike Championship with his current Swan Yamaha setup as he has now had two good years with the team but realises that is pie in the sky.

"At the moment I have one job to do and that is to win the British Championship but I said that last year in the hope it would potentially get me a World Superbike ride, but it didn't. It is pretty tough out there at the moment, it's hard to make a step up anywhere and some of the rides are expensive," said Hill, speaking to bikesportnews at Silverstone.

"The British Championship is growing and getting stronger but I have spent quite a lot of my career here, it's a greta series and pulls in huge crowds but anyone, in whatever job they do, wants to step forward. At the moment, we are talking to a few people, potentially Moto2, CRT, World Superbikes is a bit difficult."
