HILL IN TALKS TO REMAIN IN BSB NEXT SEASON

Hydrex Honda's Tommy Hill has said he wants to stay in the British Superbike paddock next year and is in talks with all of the top teams to try and secure a competitive ride.

Hill, who is a closet carp fisherman, reckons he has enjoyed being back in the championship this year and is making progress on the Hydrex Honda but adds that a full year in one team is what he needs to win.

"I had good times with the Suzuki lads and am enjoying being with Shaun's guys at Hydrex. Both teams are always wanting to move forward, which is what I didn't have at the world level," said Hill, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

"What is important for next year is that I can get on a competitive bike, in a great team, for the whole season. Stability is what's required to be able to be challenging for wins on a regular basis.

"I think the championship is going to be a lot closer next year and I want to be a part of it. We are knocking on the door of podiums now and I've got three races left in order to do it."
