HM Plant Honda bosses have denied approaching other riders, including Gregoria Lavilla, in case Josh Brookes isn't able to make the next British Superbike round at Oulton Park.

Sources inside the team said yesterday that the Spanish former BSB Champion was in the frame to replace the Aussie if he couldn't get his visa problems sorted out, however the team says this is categorically not the case.

"We are still very hopeful that Josh will be on the grid with us at Oulton Park and our plans have not changed," said spokeswoman Fiona Cole. "We have not approached any other riders for the Oulton Park round."
