Returning MCE British Superbike star John Hopkins has made his debut on the Lloyds British Moto Rapido Ducati he will race at Brands Hatch in a fortnight.
The British-born American is at the Kent track today to familiarise himself with the Panigale he will ride in place of the injured Jakub Smrz.
"I love the bike! I haven't even remotely touched a race bike since I was here at Brands Hatch for the last race in October 2014 so it is a lot to get use to and going that quick again, but the initial reaction is that it is great,” said Hopkins.
“The bike feels amazing, I have never ridden a Ducati before, but the initial power and torque of the bike is unbelievable. It feels great to be back out again, the team have been amazing so far. We now just need to get some more laps under our belt later and see if we can get going pretty quick ready for Brands Hatch."
