HYDREX HONDA AIDING LAVILLA WSB TEAM IN TESTS

Shaun Muir's Hydrex Honda British Superbike squad have been helping out Gregorio Lavilla's cash-strapped WSB team by lending them suspension parts, bikesportnews.com can reveal.

Pro-Ride Honda, which looks like it may not make the grid this season, borrowed shocks and forks from the Middlesborough-based team and team boss Shaun Muir even sent their suspension engineer out to the Portimao tests.

"We actually loaned them our rear units, linkages and most, importantly our new pressurised Proshock/Showa  front forks, on which James Ellison ran at the final Brands BSB round and Stuart Easton won at Macau using," said Muir.

"They are the full modified version we have been getting ready for 2009. Our suspension engineer Javier Munoz was helping the team at Portimao, and asked if they could borrow the units as they only had standard customer kit, whereas we have had a full season developing the '08 version

"We have made more than 25 internal mods over the course of 2008 to get to this stage so, clearly the suspension tops stayed on them when they were in the garage."
