Hydrex Honda's Karl Harris and Stuart Easton have finished their first set of pre-season tests at the Spanish Almeria circuit and crew chief Mick Shanley is happy with the results.
Both riders managed to get down into the low 1'37s lap times, even though the first two days were hampered with high winds and a dirty circuit and a lot of the development work that Shanley needed to do has been completed.
"The first couple of days were a nightmare. Neither of the lads could go out and do anything meaningful but yesterday we got down to some proper laps and really got to grips with the suspension and electronics," said Shanley.
"Stuart and Karl reckoned they were having a little bit of chatter off the front tyre but will be able to sort that out at Guadix tomorrow. Obviously, losing the first day or so wasn't ideal but we looked as fast as anyone else out there, so I'm pretty happy."
