'I can't think about the championship' - Hill

Reigning MCE British Superbike Champion Tommy Hill goes into this weekend's Brands Hatch finale with his sights firmly set on doing all he can to win all three races and not think about retaining his number one plate.

The Swan Yamaha man has seen his grip on the title slip since it entered the Showdown stages and he is now sitting in fourth place with some 46 points to make on leader Shane Byrne with only 75 left on the table.

"We definitely want to go to Brands Hatch and turn things around. It is gutting how the Showdown has been but that is how racing goes sometimes. We have to aim for the triple win as if we do that there is nothing more than we can do. I can't think about the championship, I just need to try and win all three races and then anything can still happen," said Hill.

"If it does then I need to be in a position to pick up the pieces. This is my job and throughout my career I have had ups and downs, possibly more than most, but the instinct is to fight back and we want to end the season on top with wins. I have come back before and we need to do it again now."
