An injured Jason O'Halloran claims pole position as he sets a blistering pace around Cadwell Park.

At Thruxton Jason O'Halloran sustained some injuries after a heavy crash in Sunday morning warm-up. However, two weeks on the Australian rider found his way to pole position at Cadwell Park.

O'Halloran had a difficult time in the Friday evening Cadwell Park test as he finished in 18th place. In the Saturday Practice sessions, the Australian rider made a step as he moved up the order to fifth place in the mixed conditions.

When race day rolled around O'Halloran was not sure whether he was going to ride due to his injuries. But he did venture out on track and finished 10th place in FP3 in the dry conditions just before Qualifying.

When O'Halloran went out on track for Qualifying he kept making gradual progress. That was until he set his last flying lap and smashed the rest of the field as he blasted his way to pole position.

After Qualifying O'Halloran said: "I wasn't sure whether I was going to ride today or not. I was always going to try in Qualifying to see how I feel and then make a decision after that. But I got a bit of a feeling out there, felt pretty solid, just sort of worked into it.

"In FP3 I made a bit of a step from the test, and then in the first part of that Quali session, I went a bit faster and then quite a lot faster in the last run!

"I wanted a good result today, I got one. It is nice to be on pole position and we will see what we have got later on."
