Samsung Honda's Alex Lowes wants to repeat his Oulton Park MCE British Superbike success from earlier in the year and says he would be disappointed to come away from the event without a win.
The Derby-based rider won the first outing back in May and then stayed on the podium in the second. He sits 21 points behind Shane Byrne in the title chase but has just a point advantage over Josh Brookes in third.
"I'd be disappointed not to win at Oulton. We managed it there earlier in the year, and the bike has come on since then so we should be in good shape to take it to Shane and Josh this weekend," said Lowes, speaking to bikesportnews.com.
"We know we need to be faster and keep improving as that is what everyone else will be doing ahead of the Showdown. I definitely would like to push for wins again and score some more podium credits, and get us set-up nicely for the final push from Assen onwards."
