Moto Rapido Racing and Leon Haslam have made an immediate impact as they claimed their first win in their second race together.

Leon Haslam was able to claim his first win of the 2025 season, and his first British Superbike win since 2018, in Race Two at Oulton Park.

The 2018 British Superbike Champion was on the podium in his first race with the Moto Rapido Racing squad on Sunday. However, he went even better on Monday as he returned to the top step of the podium.

Haslam had to hold off Glenn Irwin and Bradley Ray on his way to his victory, but he was able to set a new lap record as he was setting a sensational pace at the front.

"Yesterday I was a little bit nervous to be honest with you," Haslam told TNT Sports after winning his first race since 2018.

"Wilf was saying, 'bring it home, take it easy', by the time I got into second yesterday, he [Bradley Ray] had long gone.

"Today, I thought I needed to go hard from the start, I made an early move and started catching him, and I did not expect to do that lap time.

"To be honest with you, the last five laps were the longest laps ever. There were a couple of false neutrals, and I had a big moment on the last lap. I was struggling to get back the gears at Island I think I went back one too many gears, and it popped in.

"I made some rookie mistakes on the last lap, I should have kept it smooth. It has been a hard few years and it is really nice to get back on the top step."

After two races at Oulton Park, Haslam is now second in the 2025 British Superbike standings. However, he is level on points with Bradley Ray and Glenn Irwin, who sit in first and third places in the Championship.
