Even though it has been two days since he was crowned 2009 British Superbike Champion, Leon Camier reckons he has been so busy that it hasn't yet sunk in.
The Airwaves Yamaha rider, who is in the process of trying to secure a World Superbike seat for 2010, wrapped up the title in race one on Sunday and celebrated by getting a pillion ride to the podium with Niall Mackenzie, resplendent in the Boost Yamaha leathers he wore when Yamaha last took the title and King Henry VIII handed out the silverware.
"I have been so busy with a load of other things, I don't think it has quite sunk in yet. It is what it is, I suppose," said Camier, speaking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon while having a row with some shopping trolleys.
"Everyone says this, but it really was a weight off my shoulders. I feel like I don't have a really heavy head any more and it's nice there isn't any pressure now."
