American teenager PJ Jacobsen has signed to ride for the Tyco Suzuki team and will partner Josh Brookes in the 2013 MCE British Superbike Championship in a move that has shocked not very many people at all.
The New Yorker, who won Supersport and Superstock 1000 races for the team this season, will move to Northern Ireland with girlfriend Danielle, who is a cheerleader for the New York Mets Red Sox Cardinals Basebasket team.
“It’s great to finally sign the deal to ride for Tyco Suzuki and I’d like to thank team boss Philip Neill and Phil Dashey from Tyco for their support. The team stood by me this season and gave me an opportunity in British Superstock and Supersport and put my career on the map. I just can’t wait to get out there now and test the Superbike, and I know my experienced Australian team-mate Josh Brookes will help me a lot. I like his determination and attitude to racing and already knowing the Tyco Suzuki guys is also a big help," said the 19-year-old.
