Martin Jessopp has become the 25th rider to confirm his place in the 2016 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship following his recent podium finish at the Macau Grand Prix with the Ridersmotorcycles BMW team.
Yeovil-based Jessopp secured top ten finishes during his 2015 campaign, with a best result of an eighth place at Thruxton and is ready to aim to build on this season next year with the family-run Ridersmotorcycles BMW team.
“We have had a few seasons with the BMW now and I think that we can take another step forward in 2016. This year we had our best results with the S 1000RR with top ten finishes and so that is what we have to target next year, because we know that we are capable of more of that with the package we have as a team. We recently had the podium finish at Macau, so we have a break now before testing to make a plan ready to start next year in the best way possible,” said Jessopp.
