JG Speedfit bring in Milwaukee electronics whizz Lord

New JG Speedfit Kawasaki team boss Terry Rymer has enlisted the help of Shaun Muir Racing electronics whizz Ian ‘Chunky’ Lord to try and help with the squad’s electronics and fuelling workload.

Lord, whose day job is with Milwaukee BMW in World Superbikes, was on hand at Brands Hatch to help out the team’s electronics man Andrea Torniero, who’s constantly under the cosh with three bikes to work on at once.

“We have got Andrea who is our electronics guy, and he has been working really hard. But you can imagine for him, the workload is tremendous because he has got three riders, when each rider comes in he has to download. Now we have got Pete in the team who is helping with electronics as well and he is kind of working on Peter Hickman’s bike, he is doing a good job and he is new to the team which is great,” Rymer told BSN at Brands.

“Also we have got Chunky to come along to support Andrea really because it gives him a bit more of a back up and we knew this weekend would be busy because the nature of the Brands Hatch GP circuit is a tough one. He is here for Brands because of my appointment in the team, it was good to have him here as well and it was Mark’s decision to actually get him to come along to take a bit of heat off Andrea. We have got stuff to improve on. We will develop the engine all through the year - we don’t stop with development.”
