JIMMY HILL SCRAPING CASH TOGETHER FOR SUPERSPORT BID

Former National Superstock 600 rider Jimmy Hill is struggling to get the cash together to finance his bid on the British Supersport title in 2009.

Hill, who won the Cadwell Park round of the Superstock Championship in 2008, has already managed to sell off one racebike but is struggling to find buyers for a second, which he needs to off-load in order to buy Hudson Kennaugh's ex-Raceways Yamaha R6.

"We have got the money from the sale of one bike, but I really need to get rid of the other one so we can buy the 2008 Raceways R6 for this season," said Hill, who is younger brother to World Superbike star Tommy.

"I know time are going to be tough this year, with all the financial problems, but I am really looking forward to getting my teeth into the Supersport championship."
