Joe Burns has put behind him his difficulties with sponsors for 2015 and joined the Gearlink Kawasaki team for an assault on this year’s MCE British Superbike title.

Burns replaces Ben Wilson, who has stayed with the squad but returns to his favoured Motorpoint British Supersport class this season, and made a wildcard appearance on the MCE BSB grid at Assen last season, in addition to contending the Superstock class, in which he has campaigned a Kawasaki for the past four seasons.

"I'm really happy to have signed for Gearlink Kawasaki. I have known Michael and Norma [de Bidaph] and some of the other members of the team for many years now and I have always been impressed by the team they run. I believe the package is as strong as that of any other teams and I can't wait to get working on the track," said Burns.
