OMG Yamaha Racing shake up their 2025 rider lineup by signing Joe Talbot for the British Superbike season.

Joe Talbot will feature on the 2025 British Superbike grid as he signs with the OMG Racing Yamaha Team. The current Pirelli National Superstock rider will get a well-deserved promotion to BSB next season after winning two races in the 2024 Championship.

The 20-year-old is second in the Pirelli National Superstock standings, three points off the Championship lead.

Talbot has signed a two-year deal with the team as he will compete for them in 2025 and 2026. The Cheshire rider will get his first taste of the Yamaha R1 at a private test in December.

Speaking on his promotion Talbot said: “I’m over the moon to be joining the OMG Racing team and be a part of the Yamaha Motor UK family. I feel honoured and can’t wait to take on the challenge of racing in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. It has been a dream of mine since the start, there are a lot of great people behind me that has made this possible, and I wish to thank Alan and Paul for this opportunity. I can’t wait to get going and make my mark in the championship.”

Joe has caught the eye of many in the BSB paddock with his rapid progression through Superstock 600 into 1000, and then the performances and rides he has delivered so far. We know he’ll be a good fit within our team for the next two years, and we’re looking forward to seeing how he progresses with the Yamaha R1 in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.”
