Josh Brookes has been out on track ahead of the 2025 British Superbike Championship.
Last weekend Josh Brookes was back on track for the second and third rounds of the Australian Summer Night Series.
The Australian rider is preparing for the 2025 British Superbike Championship and his first year with the DAO Racing Honda outfit. Ahead of the new season, Brookes built a Honda CBR1000RR-R in Superstock specification to race during the winter and the Australian Summer Night Series.
Brookes claimed pole position at the Sydney Motorsport Park for Round Two of the series. The Australian finished third in the opening race before the final two races were cancelled due to time. In Round Three Brookes won a race and finished second in the other two races.
"It was good to get back on track and go racing again after the Christmas break. There was some strong competition from the ASBK guys and that pushed me to go closer to the limits of the package and meant there were some great on-track battles, sometimes four bikes into one corner BSB style!
"I’ve built this bike myself, so during the break between rounds I’ve been learning more about the electronic package and making adjustments, but this was the first time on track to test it out. After riding, I spent some time refining the electronics further and by the final race I was feeling a lot more comfortable at the limit and really enjoying the bike."
